“Falling Plates”
You are God’s treasured, valuable, unique creation. The question is, “If God is awesome, powerful, and good, why do we see so much pain and suffering in the world He created?” This film uses visual metaphors to show that mankind’s decision to reject God and His plan for our lives is what has led to pain, sadness, and death. God designed us for abundant life, but when we try to find happiness and peace without Him, we will never be satisfied and will continue to waste away.
What are you searching for? Are you pursuing the things the world has to offer (possessions, comfort, pleasure, people), hoping that it will bring you some temporary satisfaction?
God created us not to die, not to be destroyed, but to know Him. God sent his Son to earth as a human for this very reason. He experienced the same anger, pain, disappointment, and temptation as us, but He never sinned. Why did Jesus come to earth? To save us. To cover the cost of the sins of all mankind. Sin, the things that separate us from God, is what leads to death. We all deserve this consequence, but Jesus said, “I will pay the debt for them. I will take their sin on myself and die in their place.” He gave up his life to save ours. That is how much he loves us.
